Today I had a moment where I forgot all about this thing called "sanity" and went for a run with Mr. Pede. He took me and the captain on a little four-mile loop that included his hill.
OH MY GOD IT WAS SO STEEP AND I KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT THIS TIME!!!!
Now Mr. Pede doesn't run very fast. He believes in a conversational pace, so he can talk about Jesus and counsel everyone he runs with if they need it. He's a very strong Christian, and that's one of the reasons I look up to him as a role model. Also, he's an "old" man to be hanging around Marines, so the fact that he runs every day is inspiring. I want to be able to do that when I'm feeling fifty. And I don't want to feel fifty for another, say fifty years.
Also, ran some short sprints for remedial this morning. The other thing was some tips and tricks for getting through our two main tests and training for them.
