Bobby's Funeral

Bobby's funeral went very well. The service was excellent and simple. I was allowed to be a pallbearer, which was an honor for me. The honor guard was there, about fifteen of them. They all marched up the aisle and saluted his box.

At the grave, I was again honored to be a pallbearer with five members of the honor guard, despite not having my blues. They played Taps exactly how Bobby has done it for these past few years: a bugle and a tape player. I teared up. They did the 21 gun salute and presented the Old Glory to Bobby's oldest son.

Then there was the luncheon after the grave service, which was held over at the fire hall. As usual it was delicious and I ate way too much. But it was good!

Finally after lunch I got to sleep. And I'm about to go back to that right now!
