Today's workout: Deadlifting!

This morning my focus at remedial pt was deadlifting. We've gone to strength train the last two sessions, which has felt really good.

I only deadlifted 40 pounds, but I felt pretty good. I did pretty well with form, but I know that I need to see improvement with that. For the first time I did bodyweight rows with the TRX straps in the functional fitness room. All in all, it was very simple and felt effective.

At karate, we did semi-kumite, which is half-speed, no contact sparring. Inevitably, some contact is made and we end up going too fast. It's hard to remain at a slow speed.

During my private lesson, I had to re-learn my new techniques. I am having trouble remembering them. I may ask Erika to help me out because I am really struggling to sort these out.

I start swim lessons on Wednesday! I was supposed to start today, but had to work instead. I called just in time! So I will pay up and reschedule my lessons in two days!
