Today I'm finally back from leave, 4th of July celebrations, the fair, and all the other distractions that have kept me busy these past few days.
I am ashamed to say I did not eat well or do much specific PT time this week. I also had a completely FUBAR sleep schedule! On the good side, I did get to spend a lot of my time outside in the sunshine working on my dad's farm. I love that place. I willingly weeded for the first time in my 24.5 years. I mowed the yard, did some trimming and giant weed clearing from around the house, and picked some veggies. I had the funeral on Saturday, church on Sunday, a nice free Monday until my uncle dropped by to be fed and keep company, and a relatively smooth traveling day on Tuesday.
On the personal side, just before I left a very nice young man took me out on a real date! I haven't had one of those, like, ever... We went to see Brave (again, I know) and grabbed In N Out and a six-pack. He OPENED MY DOOR for me! I have had exactly zero (0) boyfriends do that for me. So far he's a winner. So we're dating officially now. Oh, his name is Chris, and thanks be he's taller than me. He's not a good PT-er by his own admission, so I'll be dragging him around for Hidden PT. (Not that! That doesn't count!)
We went to the fair and rode a bunch of rides and won a few prizes. We saw a part of the Navy Band concert and saw a bunch of animals. No horses though, except for a ginormouse Belgian... 19 hands 2. He was big, but he was just to look at. I like to see horses move.
Okay, so now that it's been a week since life went all to hell, I'll be jumping back on the horse and riding again. Don't worry, the BF and I work different schedules so I'll have distraction-free PT time!
